Denture consultations are currently available at our UK denture clinics in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. Here’s a summary of what to expect when starting treatment.
- Patients usually need to visit an average of five times
- You need to allow between 20 to 30 minutes for each appointment
- Our Clinical Dental Technicians (CDTs)* can treat patients who have experienced total tooth loss
- If you have natural teeth remaining you must be referred by a dentist before treatment can begin
- Dentists are available at our clinics to assist with treatment plans
Appointment 1
Free Denture Consultation
- No obligation appointment for dentures (at our expense)
- Dental history and medical paperwork completed
- Oral examination and clinical assessment
- Treatment plan formulated
- Different types of dentures explained
- Approximate treatment costs provided
- Consent forms signed for the commencement of treatment (assuming you’re happy to go ahead)
Appointment 2
Impressions Taken
- A non-refundable deposit of £250 is taken (cash, debit and credit cards accepted)
- Impressions taken of the upper and lower jaws
- X-rays and images of your mouth (by our in-house dentists)
Appointment 3
Denture Tooth Options
- At this appointment, the colour, size, quality and shape of your desired denture tooth will be agreed upon
- Treatment costs are also confirmed at this stage
Appointment 4
Trial Dentures
- A chance for us to look at trial dentures in the mouth and to decide if the desired appearance has been achieved
- This is your chance to confirm whether they look right or if we need to make alterations. The final decision is yours and if you feel changes are required this will be done for you at no extra cost
- Additional costs are incurred if you request further cosmetic alterations after this appointment
Appointment 5
Final Fitting
- Fitting of your finished dentures
- Payment in full is required at this appointment
- Cash, debit and credit cards are all accepted
* Clinical Dental Technicians (CDTs) are qualified to work directly with patients, providing a range of denture services. Every Clinical Dental Technician listed on the First Class Denture Clinics website is registered with the General Dental Council (GDC).
